Who we are
Revive the Runway ("we", "us") sells authenticated second-hand designer items through this website. The business is operated by India Lance, trading as Revive the Runway, who is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can contact us about anything in it at contactus@revivetherunway.co.uk, and we will provide our postal address on request.
What we collect and why
Orders and payment
When you buy an item, payment is handled entirely by Stripe on Stripe's own checkout pages — your card details never touch this website. Stripe shares with us your name, email address, shipping address and the order details so we can dispatch the item, provide support and meet our accounting obligations. Lawful basis: performance of a contract; retention of order records: 6 years (tax and accounting law).
Contact form
If you use the contact form we store your name, email address and message so we can reply. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. Messages are kept for up to 2 years, then deleted.
Reviews
Only verified buyers can leave reviews. When you submit one, we use the email address you enter solely to check it against our order records — one review per purchase. The email is not stored with the review and is never displayed; what we store and publish is the display name you choose, your star rating, the review text and the date. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in publishing genuine, verified reviews. Published reviews are kept while the site operates; you can ask us to remove yours at any time using the contact details above.
Analytics and security
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not profile or fingerprint visitors; we only see aggregate statistics. Cloudflare also processes visitor IP addresses transiently to serve the site securely (DDoS protection, bot detection on the contact and review forms). Lawful basis: legitimate interest in running and protecting the site.
Who processes data for us
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, content delivery, security and aggregate analytics.
- Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. — payment processing (Stripe is an independent controller for the payment itself; see Stripe's privacy policy).
Both may transfer data outside the UK under UK-approved safeguards (International Data Transfer Agreement / adequacy). We do not sell or share personal data with anyone else, and we use no advertising or cross-site tracking services.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us for access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, ask us to restrict or object to processing, and ask for a portable copy. Email contactus@revivetherunway.co.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
